Blizzard Tube Lights
It's
one thing to see zillions of Christmas lights, but
nothing beats some movement
or flashing lights.
Winterland blizzard tube specialty lights
might just be perfect for
your venue. If
you want to draw attention
with the least amount of
work, checkout our latest
generation of our
blizzard
tube lights.
What
are these things?
Think of each snowfall tube
light
as a 20" long
plastic tube and packed
with 64 clear LEDs.
Five blizzard tubes are
connected to a special
backbone power cable and
several can be strung
together sharing a power
supply and hanging in a tree
or from the eve of your home
or business. Each tube
is independent and has
enough smarts to sequence
the 64 LEDs so it looks like
falling snow as in the video
to below. Our blizzard
tubes are similar to our
snowfall strings but a
bit easier to handle and
store since all the lights
are inside the tube.
Each blizzard tube is 0.5" in
diameter and 20" long with an
8.5" lead-in cable. 120 volts is
required for the power supply.
These LEDs are not designed for
dimming.
A special
backbone power cable is supplied
that provides the unique
connector to attach each of five
blizzard tubes or snow strings. The
cable is a little over three
feet long with a six inch
lead-in, a snow tube connector
every eight inches and a very
short lead-out. Ten of these
backbone power cables can be
connected in series and driven
by one power supply so up to 50
snow tubes can be on one
electrical circuit. The power
supply has a 40" lead cable to
connect to the backbone power
cable. We also have spacer
cables available for this
product to spread out the snow
tube clusters.
Our blizzard tubes are
illuminated with the latest
generation of energy efficient
LED lights. If you visit
our LED light string section on
our web site, you will learn
that there are significant
advantages of these lights vs.
standard incandescent bulbs
(100,000 hour life, 1/10 the
power of incandescent bulbs,
virtually vandal-proof, three
year warranty, if one bulb fails
the rest of the bulbs continue
to light, etc)
They say a picture is worth a
thousand words. Watch the
video below to see our blizzard
tubes at work.
